    25 WSSM

Anyone have any experience reloading this? I've heard that the brass has a pretty short lifespan and that you have to full length resize it (in a bolt gun even) after every firing. Supposedly the shoulder moves forward no matter what. I would think that annealing the brass after every few firings would keep it in pretty good shape, and that coupled with staying under max loads would pretty well make 150 pieces of brass last a lifetime in a hunting rifle.

An 80 grain TTSX at 3500 fps sounds pretty hard to beat in something that weighs a little under 7 lbs.

Case life is a problem since they really work the brass in the forming process and leave the neck walls thick. The 25WSSM seem to run neck thickness around .2" where standard cases like the 25.06 average closer to .16". Make sure that you chamfer the case mouth well and I would neck turn enough to even out the neck diameters.

The sharp shoulder dents easily so go easy on the case lube when sizing.

Thanks for the tips! There's some brass available, I think I'll pick some up so I have a few more to totally screw up.

U can also fire form 243wssm brass too if need be. Annealing will extend its life and increased neck tension consistency. The necks are thick so when u anneal u will see that it takes much longer compared to others. Ditch the backstabbing barnes stuff. Hornady gmx and nosler etips.
