Reloading 300WM for long range

I'll start by saying I have been interested in precision shooting for awhile now. I currently have a modified 308 that I have gotten to produce 1/2" groups with my hand loads 175smk's over 43.1gn IMR4831 with 13/1000 of jump.

I just picked up a new long range rifle (Rem700 300WM) and am curious what loading data Bullet/powder/brass you have found for best accuracy. the 308 will continue to be my shooter, but I would like to start working up the 300WM and collecting data.

My local range only runs out to 850 so it's rare I'll be shooting past that distance.

If you are just target shooting, then use the same powder and bullets that you use in the .308.

My favorite bullet for the .300 Win. Mag. is the Berger 190 grain Match/hunting. This bullet provides excellent accuracy for informal target shooting, and I can use it for hunting any game in N. America.

My powder of choice is IMR4350. One Christmas my family gave me about 40 lbs of this powder as a present, and 20 years later, I am still using this powder. It gives me good accuracy, so I have no need to try other powders, but there are other powders that are good.

The 300 Winchester magnum is the king of 190 grain bullets.
That said the new Berger 230 has a bc number over 0.740 and it shoots real good at 2000 yards in the right hands.

I went to the range with 2 rifles chambered to 300 Win mag, I shot the same ammo in both, one shot one hole groups, the other rifle shot groups that reminded me of shot gun patterns. I sent the Model 70 back to Winchester, we had words.

Hornady 208 gr AMAX will get you beyond 1000 yards, but if you're within 800, stick with the 190 gr pills

The velocity doesn't bother me on the 308. Its doing what it needs to do, Just wanted to change things up a bit, and the right rifle came along.
Lyman load data shows RX25 being the most accurate powder, and I hear great things about H-1000. I picked up some RX25 today, and on the hunt for H-1000. Im not in any rush yet, still need to to fire form some ammo, and pick up some dies.

The Berger 230gr performs extremely well with Hodgdon H1000.
The Berger 190gr works fantastic with IMR 7828.

For 308 I've used the berger 175 target with IMR 4064 with very successful results.

I get good results with Berger 210g VLDs and 75.5g of H1000.
