Got a pound of Alliant BE-86 powder the other day, loaded up some 9mm 124 grain plated FPs. So impressed with this powder just ordered 8 pounds of it.
Accruate, soft recoil, clean burning and little or no muzzel flash.

Heard its a lot like power pistol (which I love) without the flame thrower effect. (Which I kinda think is cool)

Where's there 8lb jugs??

I'm working on 8#'s myself.
I have good results with 9mm, 40S&W, .45auto and .357.
Next will be .44 mag.
Go to Alliant's web site and order a new reload manual.
Or down load it. It's about the only place to get load data

About 2 weeks ago Cabela's had it for $174.99 + shipping + hazmat and it brought it to like $200+.

I've been very happy with the 8# jug I started with...I've used it in 9mm and .38Spl.

It is usually happier with mid-range bullet weights, but it is very consistent and meters very well.

Loading RMR 9mm 124gr FN bullets over 4.62grs to an OAL of 1.117", in Blazer brass lit by CCI 500 primers, I was getting and average velocity, over 10 rounds, of 1051.25 fps, out of a 5" Springfield XD, with a SD of 5.315 fps.

While it is often referred to as Power Pistol with a flash suppressant, I believe it's burn rate is close to that of Unique. I think of it as Unique that meters well

Is it 4.62 or 5.62, the Alliant site lists the max load around ~5.9

Mine worked best at 4.8 grains OAL 1.112

It was 4.62grs

While I've loaded it to 5.4grs when working up a load for IDPA, there really isn't any need to go that high. Without looking it up, I seem to recall 5.4grs giving me about 1170-1200fps with Xtreme 124gr RN, loaded to 1.140 in GFL brass

I like 5 grains with 124 extreme @ 1.15.
