Powder choice for loading 300 Blackout

Moved to Utah and realizing how great it is to be free again so I've reloading for one of my new AR builds in .300 Blackout. I've looked at various reloading data online and have an idea of the powder I might want to use but would like to get some feedback from those that have in fact been reloading and what their choices are for powder. Bullets will be 110 to 125gr going through a 16" barrel with 1/7 twist rate. Two powders I'm leaning towards are WW296 as I already use that in magnum pistol reloads and H110. Looks like Lil Gun powder from Hodgdon give max velocity with lower pressures but I wonder if it has other issues like difficult to meter accurately with powder thrower.... Appreciate your feedback.

H110 is my go to powder for 300BLK.

H-110 when I can find it. I can find 4227 easy. But h-110 is the Best with those weights. Gives the best velocities 296 is the same thing as h-110 pretty much.

I love sierras 110gr hollow points and spears 125gr tnt.

win296 and h110 (same powder) work great for supersonic loads. Lil-gun also works great for supersonic loads. Lil-gun meters exactly the same as h110 for me, SUPER consistent, within .1 grains every time for me. If you can get either one they will work great.

I like 17 grains of lilgun with sierra 125gr match kings for 1/2" groups from my ptac 300 blackout upper.

Are WW296 and H110 really the same powder? It has been a long while since I've looked at my reloading manuals but I thought H110 was closer to BLC-2? Been able to find some H110 but Lil Gun not so much, perhaps it is newer less known? Keep the feedback coming!

H110 has worked very well with my 110 Hornady V-Max, 125 gr. Nosler BT's, and M80 147 gr. FMJ loads. For sub-sonic 208-220 grain bullets AA 1680 powder is most recommended. Getting 2370 fps with the 110 V-max in my 16" barrel. With Nos. 125 BT I get 2155 fps and with the 147 FMJ's around 1950-1975 fps all without pressure signs. I use RP 7 1/2 primers and find that LC once fired brass is the best to convert to 300 BLK. Win 296 and H110 are the same powder but you can see some lot to lot variations but very slight.

H110 is looking like the favorite powder. Checking my inventory looks like almost all my primers are CCI small rifle magnum, hope that can be used with the H110. Anyone got a favorite load with H110 and CCI magnum primers?

WW296, Lil Gun, ramshot enforcer, MP300 for supersonic loads. I like enforcer and lil gun for lighter bullets, 296/h110/mp300 for mid weight bullets. For 180 or above H4198 or AA1680

For now I'm focused on the 110-125 grain bullet weights, but will be looking for the heavier loads and subsonic once my tax stamp comes. Found some loading data that used the CCI magnum primers AND some with the CCI #41 primers that I believe are magnum rated as well.

Current production 110 and 296 are in fact the same powder. Compare the pressures/ velocities on the hodgdon reloading data center website. All pressures /velocities for 296 and h110 are identical.

Thats great news, just ordered 8lbs of H110 so now I'll be able to use it for my .44 and .357 mag loads that called for WW296 (which is out of stock at the sources I checked) as well as the .300 Blackout. Makes me wonder why 296 is out and H110 isn't.....

Agreed! The consensus is H110, at least for everything up to 150-165gr bullets. Got the brass, got the primers and got the powder..... the one thing I thought would be easier was the bullets but looks like the popular ones are few and far between and costly when you do find them. I know, beetch, beetch, beetch . The Sierra green tips seem to be quite popular as are the V-max from Hornady. Anyone got tips on where to look for them?
