Inherited Reloads

To make a long story short, I inherited a bunch of reloads in various sizes (9mm, 45). I will not shoot them because I have no idea who reloaded them. I do not reload myself and am not sure what to do with the ammo. I don't want to sell it as ammo since I don't want someone else to have a kaboom. Any suggestions?

give it away or get a bullet puller and salvage the parts

I wont shoot anyone else's reloads either

Give them to someone who reloads.
They can then pull the bullets and deprime them either by firing them or soaking them in lye them depriming them.

You better hold the gun with your knees, that way when it goes KaBoom, your brass gonads will shield you from the shrapnel. Wow, the OP won't shoot it, and you guys are beggin for it!

I have had commercial reloads that had no powder , I shot reloads of freind that had been reloading for longer than anyone else I know and he double charged one and the gun blew up . after that I got a hold of a bunch of reloads from anther guy and took them apart and found several that were double charged .
Dont shoot reloads that you didnt do. dont let someone else shoot your reloads .

I've had trouble with FACTORY loads too! I almost lost an eye with ammo left over from our '84 Olympic shooting team. It was high end factory ammo! Within this last year, a major ammo manufacturer put out a bunch of factory ammo without flash holes in the cases. This problem caused more than one gun to blow up! I prefer good quality handloads over factory ammo now.

It was talked about on this forum and IIRC, a few guns were damaged at Angeles due to this problem. I forget the manufacturer but, a quick search here should bring up a couple of threads.

Don't you know that you should NEVER shoot someone else's reloads?
That's like safety rule #1 for shooters.

Along those lines, you shouls also never give your reloads to anyone else.

The OP can pull the bullets and pour the powder on his lawn.
Then sell the pulled bullets and primed cases to someone else that can charge them and re-seat the bullets.
