We are talking about headspace and crimp... Lets not nit-pick...
9mm Luger case has a slight taper to it, but its still considered a straight wall case as opposed a rimed case like 357 Mag which headspaces off the case rim.
This is why you can heavy roll crimp a revolver case like this while not creating problems with headspace.
