I use a fire cabinet made for Haz materials.

    Like this............

I got it off of Craigslist for 80 bucks. It is lockable as well.

        They do.
Especially if the door is only held closed by the magnetic seal so if it ever did try to blow up, the door would simply open.
I would NOT use a fridge so old that the door has a REAL latch.
I would NOT lock the fridge with any type of hasp/lock/latch.

I agree with Randall, I use an old refrigerator. Look on Craigslist, Freebie stuff. If you don't have a lot of powder and ammo, find a free apartment size or dorm size. I'm on the hunt for a free, non-working wine fridge with a glass door so I check inventory with a glance.
I'm not having a glass of wine, I'm having SIX. It's called a tasting and it's classy.

              Arsenal License

Yep, fairly cool, normal environment in the house, in suburbia. I bet some of you nuts, I mean prepared prepper types, have a couple hundred pounds of powder stashed away.

Let alone ammo, bullets, 82K primers, brass for millenia. Wonder what the 7 o'clock news would call you ? I mean, they freak out when they bust some guy, and he's got like 200 rounds of ammunition in his home. "An arsenal of guns and ammo". Meaning 2 handguns, a rifle, and a shotgun. That's like, subsistence level...

I'm not even a shotgun guy and I own like 7 of them. I mean, did own, before the boating accident.
Other than the massive popularity of the 9mm Parabellum round, the metric system never really caught on here...

I decided to check Craigslist (sacto) for flammables cabinets and found this:

Nice stainless steel cabinet that would have to be modified for powder (vents or "easy blow" doors.)

                Only $100
