not sure if this is the same bullet but for the 62gr TSX BT
    Varget 23.5gr-2807FPS max25.5gr-3021FPS
    RL15 23.5gr-2876FPS max 25.5gr-3066FPS

This is from the barnes book. They show the Varget load as most accurate.
They show 1-9" or faster twist is required

    good luck
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I will let you know soon. I have a hunting trip planned for this coming Tuesday. I will test out some loads this weekend, or maybe tomorrow after work.

I always go with Varget at 24.5gr...works for me!

How funny mine came out the same.

          08 LC Brass Fully Processed
          CCI BR4
          2.250" oal
          No Crimp
          24.5 Grains Varget

Gave me 1/2" groups at 100 out of a WOA barreled AR. A griend will be shooting the same load out of an LWRC AR today, and hopefully a boar tomorrow. With any luck I can show you what these bullets will do on tough game.

My friend made broadside contact with a good sized sow. The 62 TSX hit high in the shoulder and knocked her over and did not penetrate the opposite side. Follow up shot in the head was a different kind of ammo because of the crazy situation. I think they will work very well when used correctly.

Is the same bullet made in a heavier version? If so try the same powder charge of 24.5,I get 2800fps with a 75gr.

They make a 70 grain version, but the 62 was the heaviest Midway had in stock at the time. It was a last minute thing I had to 2-day the order to get his rifle squared away. I think if he hit a little lower the first shot would have been the only one needed.
