I think my pops has some laying around still. But they're not as old as yours.

I shot my first deer with 165grn 30-06 silver tips, but not of that vintage. Crazy deadly, just not as low a BC for today's unknowing youth! Lol

I have a box of 50, 150 grain 30 cal pre Winchester, Olin Silvertip bullets.

Yes, I meant "bullets", not cartridges. Olin packaged them in boxes of 50 for sale to reloaders before they bought Winchester.

My seecamp supposedly only feeds silvertips.

My last box I paid $17.99. When I had to qualify for my CCW, I paid almost a dollar a round.

yup, I remember, back in the day that was supposedly one of the better defensive ammo, maybe even the best for a few years.

I used to have some in 32 ACP for a Derringer and I think I still have around 40 rounds of .357 Magnum Winchester Silvertips (somewhere).

I don't *think* I've still got any around here anymore, but I've shot a few deer with them back in the day! But, now I'm going to have to dig around in some of my old stuff!!!

Not 30-06 but I still have 2 boxes of 30-30 150g. Never tried them but the Lone Ranger always swore by them

Found a bunch of 10MM Silvertips in a Sacramento shop many years ago.
                              Bought 'em all.
