    starter chrono

    Good Day All,
I shoot 45acp and 45 colt. What would be a reliable chrono for a hobby shooter? Something in the mid-range price wise.

I bought the caldwell kit for around $120. Works well for my first time buyer. Plus i like saving my data on my smartphone.

Mine was $100 from MidwayUSA and works beautifully. I haven't had any trouble with it after 3 or 4 range trips. I'm happy.

I've had mine long enough for about 10 load setups at this point and I'm very happy with mine. And the smartphone app is a definite plus.

Sorry I did not think to mention that I don't have a smart phone. Which ones have a memory I can down load?

I too am in search of a Chrono and have asked a few friends. I've been told and read good reviews on the Competition Electronics ProChrono Digital. They run just under $120 and is expandable. There is a usb adapter with software that can be used on your laptop to record and run analysis.
