    Tool Reccos

I bought most of my reloading equipment back when I was significantly younger, poorer and better looking. Now that I have the income, I'd like to upgrade.

I'm currently using an RCBS 505 scale. It works, but I'd like something electronic. What are all the cool kids using?

I also have a Frankford Arsenal micrometer. Any recommendations as to an upgrade?

    Thanks

Are you using the scale to weigh individual charges or just to setup a powder measure and occaisionally weigh bullets or cases?

If you are charging from the scale, the RCBS chargemaster is the slick setup today.

I'm mostly using it to set up a powder measure - though the Chargemaster Combo seems pretty slick.

If you are not weighing individual charges, look at the Pact precision scale as a good general purpose scale.

I have had the Pact scale/dispenser set up for a couple of years now. The scale works great for setting up loads on the Dillons and when I precision stuff with varget or other stick powders the Pact dispensor makes it real easy.

+1 on the chargemaster. No more trickling with stick powders, great accuracy, and super easy. I wish I'd bought one sooner.

This is the one I use with my Dillon 650. I just do a random sample of the charge my powder measure is dropping.

This scale is very reliable and I couldn't be happier.

As a straight exectronic scale, not for charging, I picked up a RCBS Range Master 750.
