Like many, I've had quite a few issues over the years with small pistol primers on my 1050.
More often than not they have always involved the blue plastic orifice at the end of the primer magazine tube. Or the rubber bushing on the primer slide.
Things like dirt, poor timing, loose shell plate, broken plastic case index tab and such I don't count.
Well I noticed that the primer slides now have a brass bushing on them in place of the rubber one you used to always have to replace. But guess what else now has a brass end piece to it?
Yep, in the new 650's the primer feed tube has a brass end, in place of the plastic one. And that primer feed tube is a direct drop in replacement of the one in your 1050. No notch to line up. No plastic to crush or break. Just tough and consistent.
I've loaded 1000 rounds of 9mm, mixed brass in the past 3 days with mine and it has been a night and day difference! I've you've been at the end of your rope with the priming system on your 1050 I say this is very much a worthwhile step!
