    Something xl650 users will appreciate...

Found these looking for reloading stuff on eBay and haven't seen anything on calguns about them yet. I know I have wanted a way to stop the primer feed and/or casefeed when needed. It's a pretty simple design but for about $11 shipped to your door it's hard to go wrong.

I have this and it works really well. When i first got my 650 the primers still feeding was driving me crazy.

Interesting item but not sure if I have ever had the need to stop either process in the 15 years of using the press. It is also a very simple design that I am sure I can bend up some scrap metal in a few minutes if needed.

But I thought Dillon was perfect
Does a Dillon continue to feed a primer when a primer is already in place

I do not get it I just remove the black primer activator thing or take out case tube.

The primer feeder is a disk, if you do not use the primer it will rotate to the next one and the one that was not used will fall into a tray to be retubbed.

Hornady's primer slide system seems much simpler. If there is a primer in position, another one cannot feed. If the primer tube is empty, the slide feed locks back out of the way. No primers are wasted or have to be re-tubed or handled.

It's handy if you need to make adjustments and have a full primer tube or case feed tube. If found a few times I would have liked to have it. I'm sure I could make my own too but for $11 I'm not wasting my time.

When I used to have a 650, this is what I did too.

This item arrived today and it is really a simple thing I probably could have made myself. However, it works great keeping the primers from advancing if you get a bad case. For $11 it was a simple fix. Once you are set, you probably will rarely use it, but it would have been nice to have when I was trying to diagnose a problem last week.
