    Should I continue reloading 9mm?

Seems like 9mm is pretty plentiful and quite cheap; 11.99/bx/50 on line and even less. I've been reloading for about 15 years but I figure the 9mm stuff is cheap enough that I shouldn't keep thousands of pieces of brass. I think I'll continue to reload .38 since brass is more and the .40 cal since the bulletheads are more. I don't want to look too hard to bulletheads and I think overall, the cost should be only a few cents less/rd if I reload. Anyone else thinking about stalling on the 9mm reload? thanks

I just ordered 2k rounds of 9mm for about $400... looking to order components to reload 10mm and 45 acp. Since I don't have a lot of time for reloading, I'll load what would cost the most.

    That's my logic anyways.

I don't think I'll quit reloading 9mm until it comes down to $.15/rd, which I doubt I'll see again in my lifetime.

At this point I'm still reloading 9mm for half of what I can purchase it for.

        Same.

If I didn't enjoy reloading time, I probably wouldn't reload it.

I wouldn't quit, if you enjoy it!! I'm just getting started on reloading 9mm, and yes 9mm is cheap right now, but I dont see it staying at .20/rd in a few years. But if you decide to quit reloading 9mm, let me know and ill take some brass off your hands for you

Yes, you should quit reloading those pesky little 9s. And buy cheap factory fresh for $12 a box. And since I live in SE-LA Co you can donate all your 9mm cases to me. Even though I've been reloading for close to 50 yrs. I've only been shooting 9s for a couple of months and don't have many cases yet.

Or you could just do both and put em in a box under the bench until the next big scare when 9s jump back up to 50 cents a round.

Nope. I'm not going to stop reloading and start paying retail. My time is valuable to me but reloading is my time to get away from my regular work.

You sound young so consider this, if you're thinking about selling any of your tools or components. Things have a way of changing. As long as you have the space, hang on to what you've got until you're absolutely sure you want to dispose of any of it. It's paid for and not eating anything and will only increase in value as time goes on.

              Food for thought.

Step 1. Buy ammo when cheap, but continue to shoot and reload your own ammo.

Step 2. Next time Obama happens, sell store bought ammo.

                Step 3. Profit.

Submitting the common CG answer: Both

I buy 9mm when I find a 'deal' and store it. I have a stock of 9mm cases that I reload. When those cases are no longer safe they get rotated out.

I don't load 9mm or 45ACP any more. I either get my ammo when it's on sale or buy it through www.freedommunitions.com. They have a brass exchange program I have taken advantage of and it's well worth the effort.

My wife likes me to reload, because it keeps me off the street. I like it because I have nothing better to do (disabled). My son likes it because there's always plenty of ammo to shoot. And I can tell all my wife's tree hugging libtard friends that I am better at recycling than they are.

Reloading 9mm, for me, is still less than half of the price you quoted. I haven't bought factory ammo in over 3 years.

I guess it depends if you load on a single stage or progressive. If you only have a single stage, I wouldn't load 9mm either.

Only you can decide if its worth it.

Reloading won't save you money, it make you shoot more

I can reload 9mm for half that. I shoot about 2k a month, so the savings is worth it to me. Plus, I can tune my ammo for competition.
