You turn your neck, it is eccentric, then you fireform, it is concentric, the. You neck size half of it using a bushing and seat a bullet at a very long OAL thereby avoiding the shoulder altogether. But that's specialty ammo. It only works in one gun. It won't feed from a magazine.

But whatever if you use a 185LRBT in a 308? You are kinda forced to seat it deep. What if you wanna shoot any bullet in a .300 Win Mag? You have to seat it deep, past the shoulder.

Not everyone handloads specialty rounds. Most handload regular SAAMI spec rounds. That's where I'm coming from. Bottom line, you don't need to use specialty tricks to get accuracy.

I will try and respond in order because I can't highlight each sentence on my phone yet.
I am not coming at this from a fireformed case perspective I just assure my cases are perfect by fireforming before match loading. I don't want any variation in velocity and unfireformed brass always exhibits higher extreme spreads. I spin my brass on a Juenke to sort.
On your second statement I do full length resize my brass and it feeds perfectly fine from a magazine. My hunting rifles are chambered in 6 Dasher 0.268 neck 6mm/06 0.268 neck 300 WSM 0.334 neck and 300 Ackley 0.336 neck and so far all have performed very well. My guns are built around a specific bullet and I own all my own reamers which are spec'ed to keep the bearing length/boattail junction 0.050 in front of the neck/shoulder junction. My neckturners have donut cutters on most of them and the shoulder is not an issue.

Yes i agree neck turning is not for the guy who buys one factory gun and expects to set world records with any size bullet.
BUT for the guy who has shot out a barrel and wants to replace it and get a substantial increase in accuracy there is no reason not to go with a tight necked chamber and all of the advantages neck turning has to offer.
