Thumblers Tumbler. My friend had one for 20 years, gave it to another friend 10 years ago and it's still going strong.

This is my first tumbler and I have nothing to complain about it so far. Does what it is suppose to do and it is pretty quiet.

I have 3 tumblers... 2 Lyman 2400's and a big Dillon.. the 2 Lymans have been running for 25yrs now...... The Dillon, Ive had for 5yrs

My Lyman 2500 lasted.......exactly 3 weeks. I returned it to the vendor and bought a Dillon.

I think there was some talk about the motors being defective on a batch of 2500's, Give Lyman a call and see what they say first.

A number of us had problems with the Lyman 2500 (Read about it HERE). Lyman made good on it for me. I can't speak for others on the satisfaction they received from Lyman.

I've not run the new one TOO hard since I got it one back, but I have by no means taken it easy on it - I ran it for about three days straight at one point, only stopping to switch brass every 8-12 hours.

It could very well be they were telling me the truth about running into a bad batch of motors and the new ones won't have the same issue.

I've never heard anything bad said about the large Dillon tumbler (except the price), so that would also be a good option if you've got the money... FWIW, I think you can buy 2.5 Lymans for the cost of the Dillon ($65 vs $150+).

Happy to hear it. As I noted in the referenced thread, Lyman wouldn't be the first company who bought a bad batch of parts from a sub-contractor.

There are a number of compaines I'm quite pleased with in the reloading world.... RCBS, Dillon and Redding have all come through for me when I've made problems for myself. Lyman is held in nearly as high a regard, though I'll note the problems I had with their product were not of my own making.

I've got an old Pacific (now Hornady if I understand correctly) .223 sizing die that needs some attention. It came to me used with a fouled up decapping rod. We shall see how they stack up. I'm not too worried, but would feel more confident if the die said Hornady and not Pacific.

+1 it really sticks it to annoying neighbors. Seriously, I run mine outside, and it sounds like a cement mixer. Once I went for a walk and could still hear it 5 houses down. But it does work, holds enough brass, and hasent broken yet.
