My go to powder for .38, 9mm ,.40 and .45acp and Colt. Some say it's on the dirty side, but I am happy with it. I have been using CFE Pistol lately too, meters even better than TG.sigpic

I was thinking starting at 2.6 to see how they do from a 2" and 4" smith

I like Titegroup for not just .45 ACP, but several others as well, e. g. .38 Spl, .44 Spl (and light .44M), and .45 Colt. Like Bullseye and W231, TG is pretty versatile stuff.
In .45 ACP, 5.4gr TG under a 200gr cast boolit is my normal load. My "+P" load is 5.9gr. These are max book loads, yes, and so far, both of these loads have worked out well for me in the following firearms.
- Kimber Stainless II
- Glock 21
- Springfield 1911
- Remington 1911 R1
- Ruger SR45
If you like a steady diet of the +P loads, the Rugers and the Glock should handle those nicely; Glocks are pretty strong beasties, and Ruger actually rates both the SR45 and SR1911 for +P loads."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"

I tried 4.6 under a 200 grn PRN in my glock 41, i was hitting the target so i guess they were working fine. I might stick with that for plinking rounds.NRA Lifetime MemberComment
