    40 S&W Seat Die

I've been looking around for a seating die for my 40 S&W. Currently I'm using the Lee Carbide Die Set but the seater is for RN and I only load FP. It's been working but I have to closely watch the OAL. Can anyone recommend a seater die that can do both? The Lee die does not allow me to flip the stem and I have to send in a bullet sample for them to custom make the stem. I would rather pick up a seater die that does both. Then maybe upgrade all my seating dies for my pistol. Here is one that I was looking at but cant find any reviews or if it includes a RN and FP seating stem:

I use my Lee on RNFP and TCFP with good results. I don't sweat if the OAL is within a couple thousandths. It's the bullet, not the die that's causing the difference.

For a temporary fix, you could try hot glue.

Remove your seating stem from the die.
Clean it to remove all oil and contaminants.
Lubricate the nose of a bullet you want to use.
Put a small piece of hot glue in the cup.
Heat the stem until the glue melts.
Press the bullet into the hot glue and allow it to Harden.

I'm not very familiar with Lee dies, I use RCBS and Dillon. Both have seating stems for RN and FN bullets, in my experience.

Why not just pull the seater out and file it flat...

I have the Dillon .40 S&W die set and the seat die has the insert you can flip for RN and FP bullets..
