RCBS Chargemaster 1500 Beep Tone Volume ?

I know you can turn the beep tone ON & OFF....

But is their a magic code to keep the beep tone on -AND- adjust the volume (lower) ?

    Please advise, thanks!

(This is a newer recently purchased model, if that matters).

You can call RCBS and they will send you the programming guide.

    Or, read this - http://www.accurateshooter.com/gear-...-chargemaster/

Thanks........but that doesn't help. I already know about programming it for faster dispensing.....and the article you suggest links to another article that supposedly has "all the codes".....but that linked page is down.

if this is possible it would be great. the beep is a lot louder than it needs to be.

I will share my opinion and my load data, BUT I am just a guy with too many cigars and too many guns. Whatever I say is probably wrong.

          Sorry, I misread

I turned the beeping sound to OFF. I just listen to the whirring sound of the dispenser, after a while, I got the hang of it so I know when it will stop.

RCBS wasn't much better....they didn't read my question either. Their response:
PRESS AND HOLD DOWN THE (ZERO) KEY UNTIL THE DISPLAY SHOWS "BEEP OFF OR ON".
REFERENCE ON YOUR CHARGEMASTER 1500 INSTRUCTION MANUL PAGE 8.

            My query:
I have a recently purchased Chargemaster 1500 Combo unit.

I read that the 'Beep Tone' can be turned on & off.

Is there a way to keep the 'Beep Tone' on, but lower the volume?

I don't see this in the instructions but thought there might be a secret code for it?

            Please advise, thanks!
Yeah, thanks -- already knew that.

              UPDATE FROM RCBS:

THIS UNIT HAS NO ADJUSTMENT ON THE VOLUME OF THE BEEP. THIS UNIT IS ONLY BUILT IN TO TURN OFF/ ON THE BEEP.

Can't you just put a tape on where the speaker is to reduce the volume?

solder a potentiometer in series with the speaker.. might be not be worth it.

Yeah....No. Wouldn't that be easy though? However, my unit has no external speaker 'vent' or grill....I believe the speaker is internal to the unit.

That's a long way to go. Too bad they didn't program a volume control. Bastards!

Open it up and install your own volume control. You can get the parts from those kids bringer electronic kits.

                          ^^

The dispenser makes an even more annoying sound compared to the BEEP lol

I have to take a 5-10 min break after I charge 20 cases - that whirring/whining/whatever sound drives me apes**t!
