Making 300BLK "AP" ammo with 308 pull downs illegal?

I just want to make sure im understanding this correctly....

A projectile or projectile core which may be used in a handgun

So... since people make 300blk pistols such as this that means that 300blk "AP" ammo is a no go and making 300blk handloads with 308 or 3006 AP bullets like this or this would also be a no go??

Seriously it is not worth testing that water. But since they were looking to ban the projectile for the ss109 one would think that reloads would fall under the same regulation.

Pfft, AP rounds? Now they're pushing for all "military spec" ammo regardless of core. And there are many, many more cartridges than just the 5.56 that can be fired out of an AR "pistol". This can really snowball easily.

Load and stash them! According to that code above, it strictly says for handguns, so if you own a rifle and not registered as a pistol then you should be legal. . . Technically speaking.

Go lookup what SAAMI has .300 blackout listed under...exactly.

You're fine. .300 Blackout is a RIFLE cartridge, regardless of what you shoot it out of. anyone who says anything different is just as stupid as the ATF when they tried to say "a pistol becomes a rifle when you touch it to your shoulder".
