I am not moved by my emotions or by what seems popular. I will do what is right.

Buy a GOOD reloading manual and do LOTS of reading/research first.
If you are in an area that has a reloading club, start there.
Let us know WHAT you plan on reloading...might be helpful.
It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the bottom.

I first learned form a friends father, then many years later after a lot of reading I took a class.

A good start is to buy; Modern Reloading Second Edition by Richard Lee

I just started reloading, but my interest in it started actually a couple years ago. At first I wasn't interested because it seemed complicated...then I looked into it and realized it's not really complicated at all, you just need to be the kind of person that can follow directions exactly and pay attention. I started reading online articles and forums, got really interested and even a bit excited...then I bought the Lyman 49th Edition manual and it was game over. In fact, I have .308, .223, and .45 ACP brass in the tumbler right now. I find reloading to be very relaxing and exciting, plus after you have the equipment, ammo is muuuuch cheaper. It's win-win-win.

Where are you located? There might be a clinic coming up or someone might be kind enough to mentor you.

With that said, reloading isn't for everyone. It's really not that complicated, but then I realize that depends on the person. If you can follow directions, that's a good start.

Pair up with a fellow shooter who reloads.
I asked and was invited to come over and
go through the steps of tumbling brass, resize and deprive of bottle neck rifle ctgs.
hand prime, power drop, and seat bullet to depth. I read a lot for years before I started
I also was picking up gear and componets years in advance. Hands on and doing everything it batches is a good plan on
single stage before moving to progressive.
Sound off with your location, I'm sure someone would love
to have you come over and deprime 1K rounds while you learn.

Second on the reloading class. The reloading clubs will give you an invaluable starting point so you can learn to reload safely and you get try out different presses and equipment to help determine what you like. By taking the class before you start buying components you can see if reloading is right for you and avoid wasting money on products that may not need or want to replace.

If you can make it to the above, it would be a good start
IF YOU BUY ANY BULK AMMO FROM LAX AMMO, YOU BETTER COUNT THE ROUNDS. I WAS SHORTED BY THEM.
