    White Powder

I picked up these 9 millimeter Luger cases at the range. I washed in vinegar, dish soap & hot water and tumbled them, but they still have a white powdery residue inside.

    Q1 What is it?

Q2 Do I need to clean it out before reloading?

Q3 How do I best clean it out?

    Thx

It appears to be a little oxidation of the brass. I have seen lots of pistol cases with it. Just reload them and shoot them. That's what I do.

looks like oxidation or something from the ground at the range that got in. I'd advise against using, as either it will weaken brass but more importantly, you don't know what it is and how it will affect powder. might cause degrading or instability in powder. 9mm brass is plentiful and cheap. just toss. not worth it IMO.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Not an issue at all. It's just a little oxidation. If it really bothers you, you could go to wet tumbling but, no one will see it except you and it does not affect anything at all (except maybe in your mind).

I think those shells have a problem...you need to stage an intervention and then send them to rehab.
