I shoot it from a rifle actually. it's a heavily worked over savage 110 with a 24x weaver target scope. I use it for silhouette matches. From a 9.5lbs rifle there's almost no recoil and the report is super mild out of a 24" tube, well as rifles go anyway.

I was going to say 7mm, but when you posted:

It's not a 22 or a 243 or a 264 or a 308. It's not a PPC but the obvious similarities between the PPC family and the family that this cartridge is in should have you going down the road right next to PPC avenue and coming up rapidly with the correct answer.

I got confused and thought .264 is 7mm: .284 is 7mm.
