Wow that must be pretty fast powder. Alliant lists 22.9gr with a 55gr sierra at 3228 fps.
Im curious too. That would be an economical powder for bulk 223 blasting. -
This is my go to powder now for my 223 with 55gr pills. I have used Varget, Tac, IMR 4895 and AR Comp. I really like it a lot and it meters nicely in my LnL. Everyone that shots them, really likes them. I haven't really seen how it groups at 100yrds but I know it can hit a 12" steel plate at 400 yards with ease out of an AR. I also like it because it is fairly easy to find and cheap. Work up a load though. I started at 10% bellow Alliant's start load and at 22gr started seeing flat primers.Last edited by MR_X; 02-25-2015, 6:50 PM.Comment
