    Finally restocked!

I was going to post this in the Powder in stock thread but didn't want to clog up the deal/IN stock links.

But thanks to the powder stock thread and some members who kept an eye out for me and told me where to jump. I finally got my supplies back to comfortable levels and for normal non panic pricing!!! Feels good to know there is still hope in this community and these crappy times to find supplies and regular/good prices.

3k CCI 41 small rifle primers
1k CCI 200 large rifle primers
    5k Hornady 55gr FMJ 223
    500 168gr Amax
    500 SMK 175gr
    #8 Varget
    #8 H355
    #8 IMR 4895

And no it's not for sale, so back you savages!! Lol

That and I have a back bone not to gouge my fellow gunners to make a few bucks due to hard times.

Went from 1 half bottle of Varget left to my full inventory again. Hopefully last me a little bit. GL and happy tunning fellas.

I no load for pistols yet, I still get commercial reloads for the same price or cheaper than what I can reload my self. Before factoring in time.

It's a curse and a blessing because I really want to start reloasing pistol just for the hell of it, but from a cost and time stand point it's pointless lol

Op where do you buy your reloadef pistol from?

i can reload 9mm for about $5-6 a boc but can only find it lowest at freedom munitions for about $10/box.
          45 i load for about $8 a box buying is $15

no bashing or saying your wrong just wondering if im missing a place to buy reloads.

And ofcourse i didnt factor in time, but i reload only when i want to clear my mind and get away so. (The small anount of time i can spare) is free labor to me.

Yeah, the time for reloading I don't care about. I find it really enjoyable and relaxing. Plus it's nice to get in the garage, away from everyone and everything, and just spend a few hours reloading some ammo. The wife calls it "tinkering", I call it man time. haha

And yeah, I'm curious as to where you're buying your ammo. Inexpensive ammo, especially if it comes loaded in reloadable brass, would be awesome.

I usually place special orders or get in big group buys from Bullet_man1911.

He's actually got one going right now. If the group buys get big enough his prices are almost unbeatable. If I really wanted to and treasure hunt for sales, clearance and find some place with no shipping charges im sure I could beat his going rates. But just finding normal every day reloasing supplies it's about the same cost as reloasing. Again before time/dies/tools ect that also would need to be factored in.

I would need to pick up 9mm/40/45/357 and 10mm reloasing supplies. Just the dies alone makes that a pretty big venture for a few cents. At least for my swlf at the moment.

Also on a single stage it doesn't sound like a pleasant experience, at least until I can upgrade to a progressive lol

                Huh.

If my inventory was this low, I'd be in a full blown panic.

Last I checked, his prices were a little less than double what I can load my pistol rounds for.

You are right though, reloading for pistol on a single stage isn't very fun, but all the more reason for another press!

It's true, right now you can buy some handgun and rifle ammo at reasonable
prices(not as low as I can reload for)

What about the times of political unrest or change, shootings or other factors.

Will you be able to find ammo to shoot or even reloading components?

How about tailoring rounds for your particular firearm.

                    These are reasons I reload.

That and I like to do it.

Yeah i know bulletman, and have purchased his rounds a few years ago before i started reloading.

Yeah you are right equipment is a factor also. for single stage i would never suggest any type of bulk reloading pistol.

I see both sides of the coin. Right now my non reloading friends supply my brass. I have a decent supply of components and the wife signed off on my lnl press (mounted in the house i might add) so ill enjoy some time reloading. But if 9mm gets anywhere close to $8.25 i used to pay bullet man. I would just buy. I dont see 45acp, 308 or 357 getting low enough 223 Is getting close to my under $6/box mark.

Sorry for the rant, thanks for the reply

Eventually, it's worth getting into loading your own pistol rounds. Like others have said, you can tailor your rounds to your needs.

I remember when I thought I could rely on bullet man for my ammo needs, then he went dark after sandy hook, didn't return emails/calls/text. I guess it was for the better, helped me get started in my reloading.

The cheapest I've seen 9mm locally is at Walmart. I believe it was $16 a box. Yes, it can be found cheaper online, but it will never come close to $6 a box which is where reloading will get you. That includes cost for shipping for components.

I want enough reloading components to last me at least 2 seasons of competitive shooting...

I won't tell you how much I shoot, but I already have a barrel chambered up for one rifle when my current barrel goes and have a couple more barrel blanks on their way.
