Is Jack Ross Ammo Still Around ??

Weird. I just heard about Jack Ross Ammo, along with their supposed great prices, so I Googled it. An old thread from calguns popped up from a couple of years ago, that was too old to reply to showing problems galore with the outfit. So when I clicked on their website, at least on my computer, this is what popped up. Are they still around?

Didn't they end up selling a bunch of inventory that they didn't have in stock and ultimately ended up in the red owing thousands of rounds to hundreds (+) of people? Is that the same group?

Yeah, same people. They basically oversold what they didn't have, took money, and didn't have the ability, (or didn't care about), producing it in a timely fashion. Many got burned in the process. A lot like the Lancaster Arms AK-47 fiasco here in Phoenix some years back.

Funny, someone local was posting about a month ago about a pallet or two of Jack Ross ammo showing up at the shop, I asked as well about the controversy and they had no idea, but the ammo was in the shop...they must still be around.

www.jackrossammo.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on 9/9/2014 3:30 AM.

SSL certificates are not very expensive so it's not a good sign when a web based retailer allows their cert to expire. Tells me this is not a company I would choose to spend money with.

It's all over around here, I'm only 80 miles from Reno where they're headquartered. I avoid it after shooting some 9mm that was wildly inconsistent.
