need help with windows 8.1

my laptop auto updated to 8.1 and now i have a issue. instead of selecting the nvidia GTX 770m as the default graphics option the computer now auto selects integrated graphics. how do i set it up to alwase select the Nvidia?

desktop i think and single monitor

If you are running single monitor and don't want to use the integrated graphics card, go into the BIOS and disable it.

Check the NVidia driver settings as well, typically if you're not doing anything 3d intensive they want to shunt it over to integrated to save power. You should be able to toggle that to only use the graphics card.
