My kids and I had no issues logging in to Xbox Live at all today, what the hell is Lizard Squad?

They are a group of hackers who have been attacking Microsoft and Sony's service. They announced a few weeks ago they would do this and they successfully shut down both. Live is back up but PSN is still out

Not a hack, a Denial of Service attack. They have a botnet flood their servers with traffic, saturating the network. It's painful, but script kiddy stuff.

I still cannot get onto the PSN and just checked the Sony site and they list is as "OFFLINE" and are working on the problem. I can still watch a Blu-Ray or Netflix (not youtube) but no Sony Store or online gaming. I wanted to enter my PSN code to extend my service but noooo...

Had the same issue with my live account. Both companies were hit by this group. So you have the biggest day for new consoles plus the DDOS attack and wham!!! FUBAR!
