Pandora downloader is the best one imo skip as many times as you want and no ads.

OP...just got the gf an iPhone because of face time and she never had a smart phone before. All her family has iphone and is spread out world wide. Playing with it, it did not impress me at all. She is happy with it, that is all that matters.

Jailbreak for sure, then cydia will give you more apps and customization. Too bad there are no good virtual keyboards for iOS.

Apps to do what? I could give you a list of stuff that makes my life smooth and easy day to day, but you might just want some games and some free stuff.


Omnifocus is the benchmark for productivity.

Downcast or Overcast for podcasts, I prefer Downcast.

Fantastical for calendar.

Mynd is pretty good for an eye for what's going on.

IFTTT is pretty insane for linking stuff together, web app is excellent, if not better.

Sleep Cycle is a great way to wake yourself up than a jarring alarm.

VSCOcam is an excellent camera app.

Skype is a piece of ****ing **** application on any platform. Microsoft have screwed that particular pooch. Absolutely useless UI design that they then keep changing with more useless UI design.

Evernote is at its best on iOS.

Drafts is insanely useful if you input into a lot of things from cold. A habit once developed saves huge amounts of problems.

Text Expander... if there is a number two app that makes my life easier after Omnifocus, it's Text Expander.

Too bad there are no good virtual keyboards for iOS.

What were they thinking making WiFi passphrases exclusively using the portrait keyboard, with no rotation to landscape? It's a PITA if you have a good passphrase with upper, lower, numbers, ASCII chars, and such.
