Need advice on an easy to use video editing software

Hi there, thanks in advance. I am looking for an easy to use video edition software. What I will be using it for is to show the installation of my gun safe light system (I am a vendor of Calguns). Does anyone know of a software that does simple video editing like fade in/out and text/caption, so that I can give instruction. It is best if the software is inexpensive or free.

cyberlink power director is awesome and relatively easy. it has a super easy mode and an advanced mode that isn't bad at all. really good software, it's what I used during my slightly embarrassing youtube phase...

Thanks for the suggestion, sounds like a good program. That's why I come to Calguns for everything.

You should be able to do what you want with Windows movie maker. If you have a Windows pc with Windows 7 or later it should have it.

Just try the Windows 7 movie maker, I did not know it was even there. It was very easy to use. Thanks.
