Anyone finding cloud storage more useful these days?

I was initially against storing stuff in "the cloud" but I've been using Google Docs more frequently. Just can't justify more hard drives these days.

I remember when I first started in the computer game. 166MMX Pentium overclocked to 233MMX, paid $210 for a 2Gb Maxtor hard drive...

Cloud: I don't trust prying eyes on my data, who has access to it, or who it might get sold to with the storage devices in the future.

It's GREAT for my Gmail contacts, but then again, I don't use my real name on my Gmail, or Facebook account"s" either.

Depends. I have all the pictures I take with my phone automatically backed up, contacts, crap like that.

You're going to be using the 'cloud' in one way or another soon enough, if you're not already indirectly using it (e.g. using a web site that utilizes AWS, etc).

I remember when MFM was state of the art and RLL was absolute bleeding edge. 4.77 MHz was standard, and 8 MHz was turbo. A 10 MB Hard Card from Plus was like $900.
