looking for a good SEO/social media guy

Long story short, the company I work for has been hit hard by the "recent" google search algorithm updates. Our social media/blog guy passed away also. So we are in need of someone to get us back near the top of the search results and that probably entails social media also. I do not want to blindly go with some random company/possible scammer, so I thought I'd ask you guys. Anyone do this type of work or know somebody that does?

Be very careful. There are thousands of hucksters and snake oil salesmen out there. Sorry I cannot refer anyone since I haven't found one myself.
