    web hosting and seo

I currently use Yahoo. I am working on the second site and checking options available. I am trying to understand which web host services are more SEO friendly. I am not sure how much to rely on published ratings, each one puts web hosts ratings in a different order. My purpose is more exposure on the Web through SEO. I've done some very basic optimization but I am not an expert. Any recommendation will help.

Hosting doesn't really have anything to do with seo, unless they serve your sight really slow.

Seo is more about content, linking, meta tags etc.

Go to moz.com and hit the blogs for good info.

What are you trying to do with your sight?

the service provider web site. I run some limited ad words campaigns but it looks a bit expensive plus tons of not relevant traffic. So I am trying to make it more searchable for organic search. Some providers like Godaddy offer SEO as part of the package. webconfs.com published five top SEO friendly hosting companies in this order HostGator, ohub, ipage, fatcow, bluehost. Other ratings I found immediately contradicted the previous rating. I am trying to find a compromise cost wise between doing it myself and professional SEO services.

I think it might have a connection. They said that SEO also depends on your server location. So you want your server closely located to your potential site visitors.
