    Cricket wireless, good?

Last cell phone thread, I promise.

Its either AT&T or Cricket for what I want. Cricket supposedly uses AT&T towers (and is owned by AT&T) but I get the benefit of just throttling instead of overage charges with AT&T. I can change from 1GB data to 3GB data month to month or buy an extra GB in the middle of the month if necessary. Can't do that with regular AT&T.

    two lines.

AT&T: Shared 3MB data, unlimited talk/text, two Samsung S5 for two years for $3400.

Cricket: 1MB each line, unlimited talk/text, two S5 for $2860 at the end of two years. I can upgrade to 3GB each line for a grand total of $3300 but I think I can live in the 1GB with the occasional $10 buy of an extra GB.

I have a potential $800 savings with Cricket if the service isn't poor.

    Thoughts?

    Yes, I'm cheap. What's new?

I have been a cricket customer for 5+ years. I still use their cdma (verizon/sprint) service and am unsure if i am going to swap to a gsm (at&t and t-mobile) phone when their cdma service ends (sometime in the next year). I have a note 2 and the gf just got S3.

I am on thier 10gb a month plan.

How much data do you use currently

Well, the experiment is underway. So far, pretty good. I seem to have equal reception to my previous AT&T, which is how it should be. I hope it works out firstly, because I convinced the wfe to give it a shot and I'd rather not be wrong, and secondly because we are now invested in two new phones to the tune of about $1200. I figure I'll save $600 over two years over my next best choice.

Zero, until now, I didn't have a data plan on my non-smart phone.
