Just a quick question for the iphone 6 with iOS 8. Are there any funcitonality problems with the contract free phone from the online apple store? The one that doesn't have a contract says it's for T-mobile, but is this the unlocked phone or is it locked to T-mobile, which doesn't have contracts?

8.0.2 was released this evening if you dare.

I'm running it on my 6 and haven't had a single issue yet.

Also my battery life does seem to be better than my 5. But it's no razor max.

This is what I will do next time. Currently I'm having a problem using the back button on the forum and a few minutes ago it randomly logged me out.

My wife and son upgraded to the 8.0.2 and it seems to be taking down my wireless network.

Nothing else has changed in my network. Now, after a couple of house, the wireless network just stop working. You can see the SSID, you can connect to it, but nothing happens. It is saying there is no internet.

To resolve the problem the router has to be reset. This started the same day the iPhones were updated to iOS 8 (not sure of version but I believe it was 8.0.2) but it was 3 days ago now.

So now, 2 days in a row the wireless internet has gone down both time the fix was to reset the router. Coincidence...I think not.

Since updating to iOS 8 whenever I get a call on my iPhone, my iPad also "rings." Any idea how to turn this off?

Anyone else seeing strange behavior like this? I do not know how it could possible mess up my wireless network, but that appears to be what is happening. Maybe it is screwing up the routing or something. I have never seen this before.

You can get rid of the target icons by just tapping on them. When they load up, the regular icon comes back.

My iPad is slower since the 8.2 upgrade.

Not sure why your phones would be causing it but I guess there could be a glitch. Turn off wifi do on your phones reset the router. Delete router info from your phones and tablets etc and then re acquire and see if you still have the problem.

What I've seen before with other things like the wifi unit for directv boxes is that it grabs the same IP address as the PC. That obviously causes a conflict and the PC no longer has Internet. Easy fix with computers where you can control the settings. Not so much with hard coded devices. While you can't specifically change ip addresses and run ipconfig commands at least you can easily force it to try and reattach to your router and hopefully not cause conflicts this next go around.

yeah... until you disconnect and reconnect... maybe with the cell connection... not quite pinpointed it here yet. It is certainly pulling the wrong IP from the DHCP. The phone should be using the 192.168.1.X nomenclature (in my network.)

When I reset the network settings, it goes to the expected nomenclature, but when you connect to another network and then reconnect to the normal network, the IP address changes to 192.168.0.X which is not correct.

At that point I have to reset the network settings. May tinker with the Cellular network and see if that has similar results.

Anyway, that is my findings so far.

I am at the end of my rope with this stupid Apple phone. It dumped the IP address again and not it will not even obtain the correct scheme after a reset. Multiple networks and the same result. This iOS 8 has totally f'd my wifes phone. The same thing is happening on her iPad and my sons iPhone.

Sorry, but Windows phones are WAY better than anything Apple ever thought about making. I hate apple now even more than I did yesterday, and that is saying a lot.

I changed the iCrap devices to static IP and the problem appears to be resolved. I will provide an update if the status changes.

Could it be possible that you need to expand your DHCP pool for wireless devices? You should be able to set a range for what DHCP uses.
