Galaxy S4 need data deleted but broken LCD

Hey guys so I need some tech help. Long story short, my S4's LCD is broken but the phone still powers on. I took the micro sd and Verizon white sim card out. But sometimes there are things still saved to the phone memory? Anyways, my question is how do I check to see if there is anything saved on my phone before I sell it for parts? Or, does it even matter because I have a pin lock?

I guess the scenario changes since I have a password to unlock the phone. If someone changes the LCD they would need to reactivate under their number or use via wifi.

    Any info would help. Thanks.

With the PIN number the only way to bypass it is a hardresest through the three button reboot and wiping everything off. Your good to go

Get an MHL cable so you can mirror the display onto a TV with HDMI input.
You can then unlock and initiate a wipe.
It's a little tricky for control but I was able to do it on my daughters Galaxy S3 to get her data off and wipe the phone.

..any other ideas? thats the ONLY idea, you have to do a hard wipe and there are various ways to get around the screen not working, which have been presented here. if you want some kinda easy button, go to staples =P

you could also just read up on the steps that you perform to get the phone to do a factory wipe on itself, and just do it.. if you write down or memorize the steps, not being able to see the display should be no issue, then youre phone is wiped and youre ready to sell it, which is what youre probly wanting to do.

....but its probly better to just spend 50 bucks on a new screen and youre set.

You mean the digitizer is broken but you can still see the screen? No touch function?

Take it to a repair place, get it fixed. Better phone than S5. UBREAKIFIX is in OC//L.A. area. But there are tons of places. $180 ???

You can also plug into your PC and it'll look l like a media device. You can delete downloads ect. The easiest way is to hook up HDMI adaptor, and reset device to factory settings. Rocketfish costs like $20.

That'll wipe everything off your phone. Settings/account/factory data reset.

Not going to fix it. I sold it on ebay for parts. Just want to make sure I covered my tracks. But, I'm 100% sure had I a password in it. So there cant be any access to anything thats on there without a hard reset.
