Windows display drivers suddenly crashing, multiple computers.

I've run a laptop on Vista and a desktop on Win 7 for several years without problems but several days ago the laptop started to have multiple display driver crashes and recoveries and then today the desktop had the same issue. Any input? Maybe a recent update? This is weird!

As in a little notification bubble on the bottom right says "xxxx vendory display driver has encountered an error" ? Happens to me too but only when I play really graphically complex games.

Might want to update graphics driver. Could also be dust in your computer overheating your system, try using canned air and blowing some of it away.

Nvidia video card by chance? Windows had some update come through a couple of weeks ago and caused mine to keep crashing. I restored to an earlier known good configuration and problem stopped. When I put the update back on it started crashing again.

Not saying that is your problem, but that is what I experienced with the last batch of windows updates.

Go back to recent restore point see if that changes anything.

Yeah, I figured it was a high possibility of a bogus update since it started on two different systems at nearly the same time. Thanks all.
