iphone 4 value ?

looking for a iphone for the lil lady but figured i would ask what they are going for as i have no idea what they are worth used

it would be for a verizon carrier, pageplus prepay seems the cheapest i found

ETA i seem to see a lot on ebay for cheep cheep with clean ESN and wonder what the catch is

I traded mine in at Gamestop a few months back, got a little over $200 for it, but it was absolutely pristine. The guy actually asked if I'd ever even used it. (I had - it was over 2 years old, but it had front and back Zagg covers, and an Otterbox Defender case, both since the day I walked out of the store with it.)

Prices have probably gone down since then, though.

$100 for one in good condition. I wouldn't get a 4 though. Get her a 4S at minimum. 4's can't keep up any longer.

what do you mean "cant keep up" ?

i am not a phone guy i am using a old arse droid x2 myself that i picked up for 40 bucks a year or so back , its slow but does the job

Slow doesn't describe the iPhone 4 running iOS7. It's really painful. The 4S has enough horsepower to run iOS7, but the 4 just flat out does not. It takes forever to open programs, and you have to really be careful to make sure that you are closing every program when you're done with it, not leaving it in the background.

I gave mine to my 5 year old when I got my iPhone 5 and he gave it back. He said it was too slow.
The 4S has a better processor. Much better. It's slow also, but not nearly as bad as a 4.

I personally don't pay for useless devices, so I wouldn't pay a penny if I had to install iTunes on a rig to sync/backup to/from it.
