Can iPad Air with 7.1 be jailbroken?

I have a new iPad Air with 7.1 - have not been updated to the latest one (7.11 now?) I am trying to jailbreak it and have researched many sites (iClarified, evad3r, etc). However, there are so many conflicting reports (not jailbreakable, jailbreakablet, etc.), not to mention fake sites.

So, is iPad Air 7.1 jailbreakable or not? Do I have to update to 7.1.1 first?

Help me, iOS experts, you are my only hope!

I tried that, but it said it's only for iPhone.

It's the same system as long as it isn't a retinal iPad. Used it on mine few months ago and worked.

I have the latest iPad Air with retina screen.

Interestingly, I read that there seems to be a new jailbreak for 7.1.1 or 7.1.2. But I am on 7.1 and hesitant to upgrade to 7.1.x unless it's proven that the jailbreak for these new versions will be out.

Do a bit of research as there appears to be a large number of fake jailbreak sites out there that at best just waste your time.

Yea as far as I know there isnt yet an untethered jailbreak out for iOS 7.1 for either the iPhone, iPod or the iPad. Use the website modmyi.com to stay up to date with the latest Apple stuff.
