    Back button.

Hi All, I'm running the latest V of chrome. Problem: can't go back.
Neither mouse nor keyboard will allow me to return to a previous page.
    Help anyone?
    Thanks,

    OG

(You sure it isn't an iPhone? :P
The lack of "back" on iPhone applications drives me nuts, so much that I will never buy one...)

I have never had this problem, but I rarely use Chrome much anymore since Firefox stopped dropping bad versions again, maybe try:
(Backup bookmarks then: ) Uninstall then reinstall?

      I'll give that a try.
      I appreciate your reply.

I believe it's the ads. I have this issue sometimes in IE. If I right click the back button and look at the links the last couple are ad links when this happens. I can then click the correct forum link and that will go back.

Uhhh ... I think perhaps you haven't ever actually used an iPhone. Guess what that thing circled in red is? Even if it wasn't there, guess what happens when I swipe my thumb from left to right?

          This.

There are some sites that seem to do a two-step link process, where the link that you click takes you to a page which automatically links you to the page you thought you were going to in the first place, so if you click back, it just (effectively) keeps you on the same page. Sometimes a really quick double-tap on the back key will work, sometimes not.

Sure I have, I actually owned one, and it was useless.

Some apps have one top left, some apps have it bottom left, some app have none at all. Inconsistency, inefficiency, and utter lack of uniformity. A lot of applications have added this "feature" of a back, but many still do not have it...

They have a gesture for that now? It's not the one I use for iOSuX devices. The gesture came out 2013 (yes, just last year)? Derp!
iOS 7 contains visual changes aplenty, but it also includes one new gesture that iOS users are going to want to take advantage of.
