    Advantage of this big tower?

This thing is about 24" high x 9" wide x 20 inches deep, this thing throws
off enough heat to be its own furnace. Whats the advantage of this thing?
If it isnt valuable I want to toss it.

    It's tough looking.
Put a big new fast processor in it to browse calguns on.

clean it... the advantage of the case it for air circulation - and I'm guessing that there is a lot of dust inside & out impeding said air circulation.

also the size give room to work & allows you to run a full size MB.

don't throw it out, if you don't want it, sell it as it looks like it might be a thermatake case - they are not cheap.

I just checked on line and the name new is only $109 so it can't be great
        quality. Pete

Any decent case should output a lot of heat. That means you're removing heat from the components, indicating that the fans and heatsinks are doing their job.

As far as that specific tower, it doesn't look like there's anything special about it. For the top fan to have that much dust on the blades, it looks like it wasn't setup properly for positive air pressure with filtered intake fans. If you do that, then aside from cleaning out the filters every once in a while, you shouldn't have a dust issue inside the case(because dust shouldn't be getting in there).

If you plan on building a computer, it could come in handy if the layout isn't total crap. Otherwise you might as well toss it.

More air more crap to put in it.

If you don't want it, I'll happily pay shipping to send it my way.

I need to put another system together here in the next month or so. I've got pretty much everything except a monitor, case and video card.

The case doesn't seem bad. It just looks dusty as hell. Clean everything up and it will run cooler. Hot computer chips run HOTTER. If the fans are set up right, with one or two 120mm blowing in from the side and the big 180 sucking up through the top, you should have nice airflow over everything and it should never feel "hot", even though it will definitely raise the temp in the room if you are burning hard.

The tower itself is just a protective case. The bigger it is, the more option you can put inside it. A good tower can be used for years. I throw the CPU and board, and power supply away, but keep the tower. After cleaning, it's good as new and ready for new components. Just give it to your system builder friends if you don't want it anymore. Keep the hard drive because it contain your files.

More air space, less hot areas with proper air flow of fans. Gives you room to work as well.

It takes longer to get a power supply, HDD, and other device in, and out of.
Oh, wait that is a drawback, like most "gamer"-cases...

                          19" rackmount FTW!

Most "Gamer"-cases are worthless, and non-functional if you care about "quick"-access to hardware (all hardware eventually dies) but I don't know about this one in particular.

I used to love AT, and ATX full-towers, but since drives have gotten smaller, front-access on rackmounts is a better option:

and maybe one of these is my next purchase:

                          Filtered Airflow is better.

I have this case or a version real similar to it. It works great. I clean it once a year with a can of compressed air. Run core temp to monitor the temp. If its getting hot, time to clean. Yours is definitely ready for a cleaning.
