xbox one is going to be sold without kinect soon

about time they sold a version of xbox one that did not include the always watching always listening possible NSA surveillance device. looks like the price of a kinect free xbone will be $399. might get one when i buy a new TV.

Pretty unhappy with paying $100 for the privilege of having a feature turned into a peripheral after the fact.

First time I have been unhappy being an early adopter for a MS console.

that "feature" was disigned as a peripheral a few years ago for the 360. it only became a "feature" when M$ got money and DRM hungry. kinect is not and never has been huge selling point for the xbox. the entire handling of the xbox one launch was horribly executed. if they want to stay competitive they have to compete.

kinect is a dead end that only MS wants to push so they can use it to collect information about users.

all developers know that the kinect is a stupid useless add-on that will never be used for anything in terms of real games.

Microsoft went so far out of their way to upset gamers on initial launch.
They only made changes out of desperation, not because it was the right thing to do.

I'm still rocking my 360 and would only upgrade to the PS4 at this point. I think they have clearly proven they don't have gamers in mind. There's also talk of Micosoft selling the Xbox division. Their a mess. This Kinect decision is hilarious.

I only buy used systems, as I don't play too many games.

When it gets to about $150-$199 used, I'll think about it.

Sony assisted xBones? Doesn't sound that good...
