You Tube not loading properly, is it me or them? UPDATED

Running a mac w/ ver 10.6 and Safari always worked before and everything else works just fine - it's just You Tube.

Thumbnails won't load at all - just a white block, on screen buttons (show more, close ad etc) inoperative, but I can click the white box and watch a video

I have checked for updates, restarted the computer and all of the "level 1 tech stuff". Any thoughts, I really use You Tube alot and this is getting old fast

I have same issue. I also have Firefox on my iMac. Firefox is working correctly. Seems like every once in a while this happens with Safari.
Not sure why. It was working fine yesterday morning then when I came home it was not.
Went to Firefox and youtube is working perfectly.
I just scratch my head and use another browser until it is sorted out.
I have been too lazy to try to figure it out until this weekend on why Safari is not loading youtube correctly.

The no thumbnail thing started happening to me yesterday. I'm still on 10.5.8. The ability to fast forward/rewind went away last year sometime. Videos just start reloading if you click anywhere on the timeline, even if the whole video has already loaded.

Youtube started getting wonky on my last Mac as it got older too. Every year some other function would get screwed up or clips would only load five seconds at a time. All other online videos sites work fine.

Thanks guys, nice to know that somethings are just me. Probably have to switch to Firefox

Sure does, but I do not like people or mechanical objects telling me what to do.
Kind of grates on me.

I told it to let me know and I will decide what is good for me not some stinking machine!

UPDATED: So I reloaded Safari and nothing. I went ahead and installed Fire Fox and all is well. You Tube loads and operates as expected. I was going to use FF just for U Tube but is screaming fast on all of my other pages it will most likely become the main browser
