Used desktop, what should I do with it?

Looking for input from the more tech savvy members...
I'm going to be updating my desktop soon due to rapidly growing video editing needs. My current desktop is pretty nice. It's this one:

Once I get the new desktop, should I donate this one to Goodwill or try to sell it? For selling it, what's a good place to do that?

Computer tech changes too quickly for me to understand current market value so could use some help.
    Thanks fellas!

I'm going to say hold on to it, you'll never know when you might need another computer. I've used 2 "older" PC's to create a dedicated HTPC for movies, music, and video games, and another for a dedicated surveillance system. Both of them are running XP.

I'd just put it in the guest room in case someone comes over and asks to use your computer. I dont like people using my computer.

Other things you can use it for:
-HTPC (home theater pc) - hook it up to tv. U can watch netflix or files from comp. U can even put game emulators on it and start llaying Super Mario.
-Mine digital currency (although u need a better comouter to yield results or you are just wasting energy)
-use it as backup, not just when new computer goes down but also backup files in case other comp takes a dump.
-use it as a server or stream stuff (music, movies) from it.

If you donate it, make sure u wipe the hard drive.

I say junk it. Old PC's are power hungry, you'd be better off buying a cheap NAS device for dedicated file sharing, or a set top box for streaming video or whatever. I hate old PC's, take a bat to them. (well, donate or take to electronics recycling in your area).

If you get rid of it, take out the hard disc and destroy it first.

I got a slowly dying machine I am on now. I would take it off your hands long as its a reasonable price to me. You can keep the hard drive mouse and keyboard. PM me if you want to talk about pricing.

An i7 3.4? I always have two desktops and several laptops in the house, so I'd say keep it. If one goes down it isn't that bad when you have another healthy one to use and to fix the bad one with.

You might even consider updating the video card and adding memory+drives.
