From what I have been reading the unrecognized disc code 03 57 00 and 03 80 00 means the end is here. I tried to remove the exterior drive and cleared the cache but it was no help.

Anything else I can try?

Looking at the referbed units like those from Gamestop. Are these worth it? Any better sources? Do they offer a trade in (after all all those refurbed units have to come from somewhere)?

i grabbed a refurb unit from gamestop they come with the same warranty as a new one. but i'm not talking justa regular used one or "gamestop refurb" it was a ms refurb unit.
