Does anyone use an i pad instead of there home computer.

For just general purposes? Yes, as you can see from my sig, I do. I tend to use my iPad and phone a lot. My Mac only gets used about 10% of the time.

Yes most of the time, the main reason is portability and Ipads never seem to get viruses or need updates every dang week like my PC does. I just wish they had flash.

Thinking of getting an i pad over a new computer. i pad seems faster than my computer, of course my computer is about 12 years old.

If all you do is web browsing, email, and stuff like that an iPad can do it just fine.
I use my PC for a lot more. Making movies, photoshop, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc...
Can't do all that on an iPad.
I love iPads and use one 90% of the time I browse online. But it can't do everything, so I also have an iMac.
