    Avatar Help

I was hoping to borrow an NRA Life Member avatar. I tried saving an image that I found on Calguns, but it tells me that it is the wrong file type when I upload it. It appears to be .gif Why would it work on someone else's profile but not mine?

    Thanks in advance.

What are the dimensions of the avatar you're trying to upload?

It is the avatar in your signature? File Size?

Have you tried uploading to an image hosting site, then using the direct link as a source for your avatar?

I borrowed someone else's avatar off calguns, so I just assumed it was sized correctly. How do I check?

Right click on file and click properties. Which should give you info such as pixel dimensions, file type, file size etc. If you hover over the image, some information should also appear.

The uploader should say the maximum accepted image size.
