Figured it was a typo.
Seriously though, newegg has refurbs. In fact, the shell shocker daily deals often has NEW computers for about that price. There are about 15-20 that show $99 with free shipping right now and 279 selections under $200.Last edited by MaHoTex; 02-21-2014, 12:41 PM.NRA Life Member

I don't really use my pc. But I got a dell refurb from the Dell outlet online for around that price. Came with I3.

Pulled the trigger!
Optiplex 780 Core 2 Quad 2.83GHz 4GB RAM 320GB HDD DVDRW SFF PC (Win 7 Pro
$190 shipped
Next step will be learning how to us my current 500GB HDD as a secondary storage within the unit. I do have Win 7 pro on that one.....so, I don't want to boot-up with both. Any walk through's on how to proceed?Originally posted by Citadelgrad87I pity your kids, because they are doomed.Originally posted by FLIGHT762Can I bring my Donkey? He loves Chunky Monkey.Comment

assuming the drive isn't too old and there is no need for adapters (sata) you could just plug it right in...if you don't mess with the boot settings it wont try and boot from it...but if it does you can always change it back in the biosOptiplex 780 Core 2 Quad 2.83GHz 4GB RAM 320GB HDD DVDRW SFF PC (Win 7 Pro

after you have it working I would backup all the data you need and give it a clean format then copy the data back...just to have a clean slate for a slave drive.
Dell computers tend to have sata ports disabled so after you connect the hdd you may have to boot up into the bios setup and enable the port (hit F12 on boot up when you see the dell logo)Last edited by Montu; 02-21-2014, 5:42 PM.K.F.K|Μολὼν λαβέComment

ETA: As Montu said above this post, you should be able to plug it in and start using it with little to no problem.Last edited by MaHoTex; 02-21-2014, 7:02 PM.NRA Life Member
