Wish I could use chrome... Ipad belongs to work and they have installed mobile iron. Mobile iron rats me out when I install any non-approved apps. Doing so can get me fired. Personally I think IOS7 sucks wish I could go back to the previous version.

My wife has an iPad 2 that I upgraded to the latest OS. I really like it. It is a little strange at first but once you get used to it I think you will like it. Before the update I was about to get a new Android tablet. I hadn't played with android for a long time and bought a 7" galaxy tab. I was real impressed with how android has improved. But after playing with the new iOS I think I will get an iPad air.
The older iDevices just don't have the power to properly run all of the latest software. If they did let you update it to iOS7 then you may be unhappy at how it would run.

The thing about Apple to me is the are kind of like Toyota. They just work. They may not be the fastest and even cost more than the competition but they are reliable and that to me is important.

BTW I have iOS7 on my iPad, iPad mini, 5th gen touch and Iphone5. I have no problems with it at all. My phone is jailbroken.

I don't know where you are hearing it from. I updated all my devices to iOS7 and they all work fine. I couldn't update an old 3gs because it's not fast enough. That's the only apple device I still have running the old OS.

All the devices I have on OS7 are running just fine. There are things I like better about the OS than the old one. There are a couple of things I liked better the old way.

My 4s runs OS7 as well as it ran the previous OS. My iPad3 runs OS 7 the same as the previous OS.

I haven't seen any issues. Everyone I know with newer apple devices have upgraded as well and I didn't hear any complaints from anyone, other than the first couple of days getting used to the changes in day to day usage.

So, I'm not sure what the issue is really.

The only time I wouldn't update is if i had a very old apple device. The new OS's tend to slow down older devices. I'm not seeing that issue at all from my newer devices. (2-3 Years old or newer)
