Carpenter/architect Looking for Website Host to show my work

Hello. I am a simple carpenter, and I design some of my work. I would like to have a web page to show what I do to clients.

I am fairly computer savey, Though I do not know HTML or web site programming. I know AUTOCAD and thats about it. I am looking for a easy program I can create a website with just a few different pages. A real .com

Look into WordPress - template based but has a good engine under the hood. Can grow and do more as you have time to learn.

There are tons of free applications that can be used.

M$ Publisher seemed to make okay minimalist web-sites when I was using it a few years back. M$ Word can make web sites. I used to use Frontpage the most, but I only really used it for making a band's web site.

It looks like you can get Front Page Express here: http://www.stormthecastle.com/mainpa...ress_index.htm although, I would check it for viruses, due to it not being linked from M$'s site (I think it is discontinued).

Question/comment- You could make a free Facebook account and post your photos and comments there.

I specialize in social media advertising. If you want some free advertising, get yourself an Instagram account. Start a Facebook page. Get your business on Yelp and Google Maps.

I second wordpress. U can sign up for a .com and use wordpress. They have templates u choose from n they r pretty good as is..theb u can customize it with basic html. Let me know if u decide to go that route. I have a lot of templates n know some cheap places for web hosting.

lots of good advice - I will repeat and ad what I helped a friend do. there are probably many others and probably cheaper, but this is what we did.

http://www.hostgator.com/ - used this for hosting. Picked the one click install of wordpress

that is super easy - then find a wordpress template you like and start playing with it. again , pretty easy, just takes time to learn.

also, get facebook and instagram and link to your wesbite - those are easier to update

use wordpress SEO - make sure you use right words so people can find your website
